The choice between Russia’s death and survival can require a harsh, but not comfortable, transformation of the country and the society, said philosopher, analyst and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 19 in an interview to BelTA.
Reformers rejected the Soviet way of development calling it ugly in order to build a Swedish socialism of a Danish capitalism in Russia. However, transformation into a Colombia, Zimbabwe or another third- or fourth-world country was on the horizon, Kurginyan noted. He believes that this kind of confusion in minds must the mended as soon as possible,
“The main thing is to survive! The most important thing is to survive with minimal changes, and with a more comfortable version of transformations, but survive! And if this minimally changing, the most comfortable way is still harsh, will we adopt it or will we die?” the analyst wonders.
The Russian political elite should promptly abandon the obsession to preserve the existing reality among talks about how fine everything goes. This can destroy the future of the entire country, the political scientist stressed.
“I know very well what a neurotic condition is. This is a severe protective condition. These people strongly protect themselves. They build up their defense, and the more they build it up, the farther from reality they are. And this has to be overcome somehow, in a careful manner, explaining one thing, ‘Listen, do you want to win without changing the reality? Do you want to use the existing units of the system for fundamentally different purposes? Do it,’” Kurginyan explained.
The analyst stressed that he has no plans to criticize the authorities. “We want only one thing, we want you to be winning, because we cannot see how you could moderately lose,” the expert concluded.
