The US officials have established that the current format of the Ukrainian conflict is “tolerable” for Russia, analyst and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on November 19 in an interview to BelTA.

Kurginyan reminded about the recent talks between the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev and the the United States National Security Advisor to President Joe Biden Jake Sullivan as well as the ones between Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (Russian: SVR) Sergey Naryshkin and Director of the CIA William Burns.

According to the “rule of the game” that established in the course of the conflict, the West supplies weapons to Ukraine, but no major NATO forces enter Ukraine directly, the analyst said.

This rule of the game is very painful but tolerable for us, the political scientist explained the conclusions of the US officials.

At the talks, the US officials ascertained that the security services and the political authorities in Russia tolerate this rule on the whole and that they are not planning any escalation to the next phase.

They [the Americans] understand that this pain is tolerable and that we have our own considerations about how to overcome it. It does not really matter to them what kind of considerations those are, Kurginyan explained.
