To the USA, the ongoing major military conflict is absolutely fine, but it continues to test whether Russia is desperate and ready to proceed to the nuclear phase, said philosopher, analyst and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 19 in an interview to BelTA.
He noted that Washington is currently not interested in escalating the conflict in Ukraine or making it nuclear. The analyst stressed that the USA’s current regime has not suffered an overwhelming defeat in the elections, and it is ready to maintain the current course of the conflict.
“They want to understand one thing: are the Russians so exasperated they would make a [nuclear] strike?” the political scientist said. Washington wonders, “is there this kind of Russian desperation escalating to a nuclear rush?” the leader of Essence of Time explained.
He noted that the USA’s surveillance systems can promptly detect any signs of preparation to a strike or deployment of the forces. However, no such actions have been detected in Russia.
“This makes them calm down right away, because this conventional tango is much better for them, the non-nuclear options are fine for them,” Kurginyan stressed. The USA plans to supply even more weapons to Ukraine and to win the conflict.
The political scientist noted that other forces could exist, which could be interested in an escalation.
