Regular forces of the North Atlantic Alliance are fighting in Donbass under the guise of a dozen private military companies, officer of the LPR People’s Militia Andrey Marochko said on the Russia 24 TV channel on November 21.
“There are quite enough private military companies here, too. They are just a cover for those regular NATO forces that are here,” Marochko said.
The foreign legion was badly shattered by Russian troops, so it has broken up into smaller groups ranging from platoon to company-tactical groups. These groups mainly act as barrier troops and assault units, Marochko stressed.
Marochko specified that even before Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, a foreign legion operated in Ukraine. Citizens of Poland and the Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania fought in the ranks of the foreign legion.
