When a country has no command and control system, but only a market economy, this means only one thing: the control center that issues commands to the system is outside the state, stated political scientist, philosopher, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in The Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia 1 TV channel on October 30.
Kurginyan reminded us that at the end of the 1980s, during the decline of the USSR, much was said about the “horrible” Soviet command and control system of production planning, which, as it was claimed, was not effective and should be replaced by a market economy. The political scientist said that such conversations took place even in the intellectual circles.
He reminded that in those years he already called those who rejected the single center for planning system (which gives tasks and controls their implementation) in favor of a market economy “idiots” and “morons“.
“Do you know what the command and control system is? That’s when I say to my finger: “Flex”. That’s when the brain, the central nervous system controls the periphery – that’s command and control system. And when the functioning of the gastric juice, the rhythms of the heart (well, yogis can do even that) are under control – this is the autonomic system,” said the political scientist.
The example makes it clear that “the market is the autonomic system” and the command and control system is a centralized planning system, he pointed out.
“So, you want to create some creature that has no central nervous system at all! Where would it be? Clearly you want it to be in Washington. And here locally it would be autonomic,” the political scientist wondered.
Kurginyan pointed out that therefore, at a time of increasing pressure from the West, belief in the viability of the market “chimera” leads to a dead end; it is already clear that the country will lose if it does not urgently switch to centralized planning.
“As long as this Finance Ministry gives money that will be stolen and there are no KPIs for the basic industries, it will all be rolling down the stairs,” the political scientist warned.
