04.11.2022, Berlin.

Industry workers in Germany went on strike, the German TV news service Tagesschau reported on November 4.

The strikes are taking place at steel mills in Germany. About 200 thousand workers take part in them.

Workers demand an increase in wages by 8%. The strikes covered about 400 enterprises, including BMW plant in Leipzig, Ford in Cologne, Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, Bosch in Bamberg and the Porsche plant in the Zuffenhausen district of Stuttgart.

The workers demand an increase in wages for the country’s 3.8 million industrial workers. The protests are caused by a significant rise in the cost of living in Germany.
