The removal of the former Chinese Chairman and patriarch of the Chinese Westernists Hu Jintao from the 20th CPC Congress was an unprecedented event, stated political scientist, philosopher, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in The Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia 1 TV channel on October 24.
“There is much discussion about how one of the Chinese figures, Hu Jintao, was dragged out by his arms. I can tell you: Chinese culture and the Chinese elite, they never allow themselves to make gestures they don’t need,” Kurginyan reported.
Kurginyan reminded that China has a very serious culture of public gestures and extremely respectful attitude toward the elder generation. If Hu Jintao had become ill, “everything possible would have been done to make sure that no one would have seen it“.
In addition, the political scientist notes, as a result of the Communist Party of China congress, the leaders of the Komsomol – the group of the Chinese elite that focused on partnership with the West – “has disappeared into oblivion.”
“The new staff of the Central Committee, the new staff of the Politburo. This is a very tough change that suggests that the whole world is being rearranged,” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time.
