Kurginyan assesses the inadequacy of Russia’s response to the present challenge

The inadequacy of the Russian system’s response to the challenge of extermination from the West is most obvious at the ideological level, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said in his author’s broadcast Destiny published on October 13 on the movement’s YouTube channel.

This inadequacy was once illustrated very vividly by Soviet bard Vladimir Vysotsky. “And it’s time to strike I take my aim! Hit him with the rook? – Seems kind of surly. Right hook to the jaw? – A little early, after all, it’s only our first game.<…> I revealed my biceps, strong and bare, Fischer <…> suddenly agreed to have a draw,” the political scientist quoted the poet describing the system’s confusion when choosing how to respond to the offered challenge.

According to Kurginyan, the Russian system is trying to scare the collective Western “Fischer,” but in the current situation, when the West believes that the ongoing conflict is an existential threat, any such attempts are doomed to failure.

Nevertheless, the leader of the Essence of Time movement stressed, any systemic reaction to the challenge is much better than no response.

Meanwhile, the type of the response “is a result of the current stabilized regress-oriented system.” But the situation can still be improved if the system shows will and effort to do so.

Discussing the response of the current system to the challenge, Kurginyan explained that one main question has to be asked: whose support and what kind of support does the system count on?

“It would be insufficient to say that, according to surveys, a certain part of the population supports it. This will change when hard times come. If a philistine was created and now they want to rely on him, if a consumerist ‘yum-yum’ was created, then providing questionable survey data is not enough, it should also be put straightforwardly: this is who supports us,” the political scientist stressed.

According to Kurginyan, the question is not even whether the system needs a guardian people or even simply a supporter people.

“So, what I am asking is what kind of people would be good for the system in this era who would be not guardian people, no people bearing the cross of statehood, but supporter people? Does this system need any supporter people at all?” Kurginyan wondered.
