Kurginyan: Governing and educated classes in Russia have not mobilized

02.10.2022, Aleksandrovskoye.

The mobilization of the ruling class and intelligentsia in Russia has not started, stated philosopher, political analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda on September 30.

Mobilization in the ruling class, in the educated layer, and in the economy has not begun, Sergey Kurginyan explained, answering a question about the mobilization of Russian society in response to the Ukrainian conflict.

In those strata [in the ruling class, in the educated layer, and in the economy] there is no mobilization, because these layers have, in principle, an anti-mobilization mentality. They are not oriented toward mobilization. It is all alien to them,” said the political scientist.

According to Kurginyan, the ruling class and the intelligentsia have not developed the abilities for mobilization that are necessary for people who have been told: “Listen, mobilize!

Kurginyan cited a comparison with a sheep that has been told to become a wolf, but does not have that ability. “It will bleat, for the time being it will bleat a little more fiercely, saying, ‘When the wolf comes, I’ll, baaaaaaa, I’ll trample it with my hooves,’” the expert added. He explained that when the wolf comes, the sheep will tuck its tail.

Now you’re saying the sheep has to mobilize. It doesn’t understand what that means,” the political scientist concluded.
