Residents of Krasnodar demand City Day be canceled and drones sent to the front line

13.09.2022, Krasnodar.

Members of the Association of Parent’s Committees of Krasnodar Territory sent an address to Governor Veniamin Kondratyev asking him to refrain from any public celebration on the Day of Krasnodar in 2022 on September 13, Rossa Primavera News Agency reports.

The residents of Krasnodar expressed ultimate indignation at the plans to make a show of 400 drones in the capital city of Kuban. The public activists demanded that the governor should send this equipment to the Russian army’s special military operation in Ukraine.

“Stop cowardly deceiving yourselves that nothing terrible is taking place. The enemy is at our borders. The capital city of Kuban is only at a 7 hour drive away from the frontline! But we are having fun with fireworks,” the authors believe.

Any “public festivities” when the Russian army is defending the borders of our Motherland are intolerable, the public activists add.

“It is time to realize that all the territories of Russia to the east of the Ukrainian border are our rear, which must be reliable! A victory is achieved not only at the front, but in the rear as well. This is how it happened during the Great Patriotic War. And this is how it must be today. The best sons of our Motherland are giving their lives to ensure peaceful skies over our heads. And refraining from public festivities is the least we can do to support them!” the authors write.

The residents of Krasnodar stressed that spending budget funds for a celebration when the front is lacking equipment and combat clothing is a crime. The authors of the letter indicate that ordinary people, who are not rich at all, today collect money in social media to purchase raincoats, socks, boots, thermal underwear, and drones.

According to the authors, widespread cancellation of public festivities during the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine will not only support the front, but it will also help the Russian society, and most importantly the young people, to get rid of negative and demobilizing effect of various dubious “shows.” As for the drones, they should better be sent to the front.

Previously it was reported that a “drone show” on the Day of Krasnodar was scheduled for September 23-24.

The celebration of the Day of Moscow on September 10, when the capital city had its 875th birthday, faced a wave of indignation among the Russian public.

The authorities of the capital city held a number of major festivities and celebrations. The situation was exacerbated by joyless news from the Kharkov area where our soldiers are having a hard time.
