Member of Russian State Duma: Gorbachev's passing away at the time of Russia's special operation is a mystical coincidence

Member of the Russian State Duma from the United Russia party Oleg Morozov expressed the hope that the first and only president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev spent his last days before his death in remorse in an interview with the RIA Novosti news agency on August 31.

Morozov said that he knew Gorbachev personally and communicated with him. And he sees his passing during a special military operation in Ukraine as a “mystical coincidence,” because Gorbachev is directly related to the tragedy of countries and human destinies, as one of the “co-authors” of the modern unjust world order that Russian soldiers are now fighting on the battlefield.

The deputy, talking about the personality of the former president of the USSR, expressed his belief that Gorbachev spent his last days in remorse before his death, “And if remorse was with him in his last days, it means that he left this world with good in his heart. I want to believe that.”

Mikhail Gorbachev, the former president of the Soviet Union, died at the age of 91 on August 30 in Moscow after a long and serious illness.

During the past year, Gorbachev has been under close observation by doctors at the special department of the Central Clinical Hospital because of kidney problems and regularly visited the clinic for hemodialysis and blood cleaning, as Mash reported.
