Suspect in Russian journalist’s murder served in Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukrainian citizen Natalia Vovk, suspected of murdering Russian journalist Daria Dugina, served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said a cousin of Vovk, RIA Novosti reported on August 22.

According to the latter, Vovk served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but only “in the office,” where she got a job “due to disability.”

However, she left Ukraine about a month ago, having said that she was going to Europe, the suspect’s sister added. Her father stayed at her former place of residence, the sister specified.

She stressed that Vovk “never said anything to anyone.”
