The forces of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics with the fire support of Russian troops are mopping up the territory of the Uglegorsk TPP, the DPR Territorial Defense Headquarters wrote on its Telegram channel on July 25.
“A grouping of DPR and LPR troops with the fire support of the Russian Armed Forces has liberated 255 towns and villages. The mopping up of the Uglegorsk TPP is underway,” the message reads.
The Uglegorsk TPP is located in the town of Svetlodarsk, which is located 18 kilometers from Debaltsevo. This power plant is one of the largest in Europe. The territory of the plant was completely blocked by the evening of July 24.
