Joint forces of Russian troops and units of the People’s Militia of the republics of Donbass have taken the city of Seversk into operational encirclement. The head of the DNR Denis Pushilin stated this on July 14.
“Seversk is practically in the operational encirclement. That is, it is not a physical encirclement, not a ‘cauldron,’ but all roads, all approaches are under our fire control,” Pushilin said on air of the Channel One Russia.
In the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. The Russian president said that the special operation was necessary to “protect people who have been subjected to persecution, genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” Putin called on the Ukrainian military not to follow the criminal orders of the Kiev command and to lay down their arms.
Simultaneously with the start of the Russian Armed Forces’ operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, units of the People’s Militia of the LPR and DPR went on the offensive to liberate the republics’ territories previously occupied by Kiev.
