Residents of Lisichansk tell about atrocities by Ukrainian nationalists

03.07.2022, Lisichansk.

On July 3, residents of the liberated town of Lisichansk told a TASS correspondent about the inhumane treatment by Ukrainian nationalists.

While conducting journalistic activities in the liberated Lisichansk, the correspondent managed to collect valuable information on the atrocities and crimes committed by Ukrainian radicals. For example, according to one of the town’s residents Lyudmila Pavlova, Ukrainian servicemen did not let men and children be evacuated.

She also noted that Ukrainian radicals shelled residential and civilian areas to cause large damage to the city’s infrastructure, destroyed Orthodox churches, and killed priests.

Russia’s military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine began on February 24. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the operation aims to protect the citizens of Ukraine, who “for eight years have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kiev regime.”

Putin noted that all responsibility for the bloodshed will lie on the conscience of the current regime in Ukraine.

On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the liberation of the last city in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Lisichansk, as well as the entire republic as a whole.
