Allied forces are approaching Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, assistant to the head of the LPR Interior Ministry Vitaly Kiselyov wrote on his Telegram channel on July 3.
“Combat for Seversk has already begun,” he wrote.
Seversk is 30 km west of Lisichansk.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Russian President and Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the liberation of the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24, the goal of which Vladimir Putin described as “protecting people who have been subjected to persecution, genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” To achieve this goal, it is planned to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, to bring to trial all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass.
