Kurginyan explains statements about Russian plans to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine

12.06.2022, Moscow.

Statements by analysts in the United States about the Russian authorities’ plans to use tactical nuclear weapons in the Ukrainian conflict indicate that the Americans are preparing Ukraine for the use of such weapons against Russia, political analyst Sergey Kurginyan writes in the article “Obligatory” in the Essence of Time newspaper.

Nothing can induce current Russian leaders to use such weapons in Ukraine. The only thing that could theoretically induce such a thing is the use of tactical nuclear weapons by Ukraine itself.

Kurginyan notes that to do this the Americans must, first of all, supply Ukraine with sufficiently powerful means of delivery. And then they need to supply Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons “while denying the possibility of anything of this type.”

The Americans will not begin such a large-scale venture until the success of our special operation in Ukraine becomes obvious to all.

While we are clearing up Severodonetsk … considering the possibility of entering Avdeevka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk as a prospect not of days or weeks, but of months, the Americans will only be warming up all kinds of ventures, as if to allow them not to recognize Russian victory as evident. And they cannot acknowledge this victory. So, when the victory becomes more or less obvious and only then, and not before, they will move on to a new round of ventures.”
