What are Estonian conservatives and reformists struggling for? Opinion

05.06.2022, Moscow.

The unrelenting political struggle between the Estonian conservatives and reformists can essentially be compared to the struggle between the two sides of the same Nazi medal, according to an editorial comment of Rossa Primavera News Agency of June 3.

Previously, the opposition blamed the Estonian authorities for driving the country into poverty due to the authorities’ policy towards the Ukrainian conflict and “the green turn.”

The opposition urged to save the Estonian middle class through cutting consumption taxes, food and fuel excise taxes, and the turnover tax. Also, EKRE demanded that child and family allowances must be raised.

“The unrelenting political struggle between the Estonian conservatives and reformists can essentially be compared to the struggle between the two sides of the same Nazi medal.

The conservatives with their figurative “small-place” Nazism campaign for separation under the US protection for the sake of the Estonian nation, while the reformists follow the concept of global liberal fascism as they openly glorify the Ukrainian militants and use Nazi salutes at official events.”

The leader of the Estonian conservatives Martin Helme urged to help Ukrainian refugees return to their homes. According to the politician, this will be less expensive to the Estonian state than their adaptation and sustainment in Estonia.
