Russian Foreign Ministry comments on the dismissal of the Ukrainian ombudswoman

31.05.2022, Kiev.

The reason for the dismissal of Ukrainian human rights commissioner Lyudmyla Denisova was the spreading of fakes, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on May 31.

She stressed that representatives of the Western media broadcast Denisova’s lies, who did not provide a single proof of her provocative words.

“Now the question is: All those Western journalists and media, ombudsmen and social activists who referred to Denisova and supported the paint-blooded performances of rabid mob, are going to write denials and apologize…? Western journalists under her worked as propagandists,” Zakharova noted.

Earlier the Ukrainian parliament voted to remove Denisova from office. Representatives of the presidential party Servant of the People said that the reason for the dismissal was the ombudswoman’s failure to fulfill her duties in matters of providing humanitarian corridors.
