Local residents described the events of 2014, when the Ukrainian figthers fired from a helicopter at a bread line in the town of Schastye. The press service of the Russian Investigative Committee released the corresponding video on April 19.
One of the residents reported how her nephew died. “He was a veterinarian working on a farm, and they went to help his wife Oksanka with the funeral, to get ready. They came to the store, there was a line… They promised to bring bread, and they stood there, and Ukrainian soldiers [shot] from a helicopter… right into the crowd,” she told investigators.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation indicated that they are now collecting data on the genocide case. In this regard, they are uncovering evidence of the repeated use of various types of weapons by Ukrainian fighters in order to eliminate Russian-speaking residents.
On February 24, the Russian army’s denazification and demilitarization operation against the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics began in order to prevent punitive action by Ukrainian army and nationalists.
