07.04.2022, Moscow.

The governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev congratulated the residents of the republic on the day of the DPR’s proclamation. He wrote about this on April 7 on his Telegram channel.

“April 7 is the anniversary of the proclamation of the Donetsk people’s republic,” Razvozhayev wrote.

He recalled that on this day eight years ago the Declaration on the sovereignty of the DPR and the Act on the proclamation of state independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic were adopted.

“All these eight years Ukraine has tried to intimidate the residents of the DPR. People lived in fear under shelling, losing loved ones, but continued to believe that justice would prevail,” Razvozhayev recalls.

On February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree “On Recognition of the Donetsk People’s Republic” and “On Recognition of the Lugansk People’s Republic.”

“On February 24, our president announced a special military operation, one of the purposes of which was to protect the residents of the DPR and LPR,” the governor stresses.

“The more pressure we are under from the outside, the more we are ready to confront it all together, shoulder to shoulder, supporting our army and our president,” the governor added.

“Our country does not abandon its own! We know that strength is in the truth! And the truth is on our side,” with these words Razvozhayev concluded his congratulations.

On April 7, 2014, the Declaration on the Sovereignty of the Donetsk People’s Republic was read from the rostrum of the Donetsk Regional Council and the decision of the Supreme Council of the DPR to hold a referendum on May 11 was adopted.
