Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of 5 p.m. on March 31.

The Kiev regime continues to suffer defeat on all fronts. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are conducting a successful offensive in the course of a special military operation.

On the evening of March 30, high-precision air-launched cruise missiles destroyed large fuel bases in Dnepropetrovsk, Lisichansk, Chuguyev and Novomoskovsk, from which fuel was supplied to the Ukrainian grouping of troops in Donbas.

The media reported powerful explosions in Kiev and Kharkov.

The air defense forces of the Russian Air Force shot down 18 Ukrainian drones in the air during the day

The UAVs were shot down in the areas of Balakleya, Verbovoye, Verhnetoretskoye, Dokuchayevsk, Korolevka, Komarin, Opytnoye, Pavlovka, Repka, Chernigov, Chernobyl, and Schors, including one Bayraktar-TB2 near Bezymyannoye (which was heading to a site where evacuated refugees were gathered).

During the night, Russian Armed Forces aircraft hit 52 military targets in Ukraine

  • four command posts;
  • one S-300 anti-aircraft missile system south of Izyum settlement and one Buk-M1 near Kurakhovo;
  • two multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • one depot of ammunition and rocket-artillery weapons;
  • two fuel and lubricant depots;
  • 38 strongholds and areas where military equipment was amassed.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 124 aircraft have been destroyed:

  • 124 aircraft;
  • 77 helicopters;
  • 341 Ukrainian drones;
  • 216 anti-aircraft systems;
  • 1,815 tanks and other armored combat vehicles;
  • 195 multiple rocket launchers;
  • 762 field artillery guns and mortars;
  • 1,689 special military vehicles.

Zaporozhye direction

Russian troops launched an offensive on the Zaporozhye direction. They passed 8 km and reached Velikaya Novoselka. The first strike will go west of Kurakhovo to Pokrovsk. The second strike will go from the side of Izyum.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

There are currently 135 towns and villages under the control of the DPR. The combats for Mariinka, Novomikhaylovka and Novobakhmutovka are underway.

The Russian Armed Forces have taken full control of Zolotaya Niva village, forced the Kashlagach river, and consolidated their positions on favorable terrain.

Up to 60 enemy servicemen were killed, two tanks, four IFVs and nine vehicles of various purposes were destroyed.

Units of the Lugansk People’s Republic continue their advancement on Severodonetsk. Combats to mop up Zhytlovka village. Ukrainian nationalist battalions in the Severodonetsk direction are suffering serious losses.

As a result of the disruption of transport communications, their ability to reinforce their positions is blocked. During the day, more than 50 nationalists were killed, 2 tanks, 3 IFVPs and two field depots of rocket and artillery weapons were destroyed in this direction.

Mariupol

Mariupol is 90-95 percent liberated – Kadyrov.

“The Russian Armed Forces solely for humane purposes are declaring a ‘regime of silence’ from 10 a.m. on March 31, 2022 and opening an additional humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of civilians and foreign citizens from Mariupol to Zaporozhye (with an intermediate point in Berdyansk),” said Colonel General Mizintsev, the head of the Russian Federation National Defense Control Center.

The enemy is trying in vain to evacuate the nationalist command from Mariupol. “This morning our anti-aircraft defense systems near Mariupol detected and destroyed two enemy helicopters, one of which crashed near the village of Rybatskoye. The location of the second helicopter and the number of eliminated nationalists are being clarified,” the DPR’s press service reported.

Over the past 24 hours, from 08:00 a.m. on March 30 to 08:00 a.m. on March 31, 615 people, including 114 children, were evacuated from Mariupol to Bezymyonnoye, Novoazovsky district. At present, they are in an evacuation centers, which was deployed by the DPR Emergencies Ministry.

Pushilin ordered the establishment of the Mariupol administration.

Situation on the territory of the LPR and DPR

The enemy opened fire on the territory of Donetsk People’s Republic using 122 and 220mm multiple rocket launchers, 152 and 122mm artillery, and 120mm mortars. Areas of seven villages and towns came under enemy’s fire.

According to the DPR representative to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination, 47 residential buildings and 14 civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged over the past 24 hours. The Ukrainian militants fired a total of 331 rounds of ammunition.

As a result of Ukrainian army’s shelling of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, previously liberated by a group of DPR troops, 46 people were wounded. One civilian was killed in Gorlovka.

According to clarified data, a 27-year-old man was killed and a 38-years-old civilian was injured as a result of the night shelling of Biryuzov Street. It was reported that houses on Biryuzov Street 1, 5, 15, 19, 20, 21, 26 and 27 were damaged. Houses on Shevchenko Street in Aleksandrovka were damaged as a result of shelling. Details are being clarified.

As a result of the shelling by the Ukrainian army in Dokuchayevsk, 22 trasformator susstations, 1 boiler house, 1 school, 1,164 household customers were left without electric power, reported the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the DPR.

Repair and restoration work will begin as soon as the situation allows.

Ukrainian militants opened fire at Lugansk from positions in Georgievka. It is noted that 20 rockets were fired.

Liberated territories

Over the past 24 hours, from 09:00 a.m. on March 30 to 09:00 a.m. on March 31, 40 people were wounded as a result of the shelling of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, previously liberated by a group of DPR troops. The Ukrainian army conducted the shelling.

A total of 46 civilians were wounded in varying degrees of severity throughout the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic during that period.

Russian authorities have already paid a one-time financial assistance of 10,000 rubles to Ukrainian citizens in the liberated territories of Kherson and other regions in the amount of 14,000,000 rubles.

Political situation

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov reported on the prospective unification of South and North Ossetia into a constituent entity of the Russian Federation. “In case South Ossetia joins the Russian Federation and unites with North Ossetia, the single entity may be called Ossetia-Alania,” he said.

Sanctions

The British Foreign Office announced the introduction of new sanctions, which will affect the DPR and LPR.

Ukraine
