Russian Defense Ministry reports the discovery of bodies with signs of torture in Mariupol

28.03.2022, Moscow.

The bodies of Mariupol civilians with signs of torture and neo-Nazi symbols and swastikas carved on them were found in the basements of buildings, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, the Director of the Russian National Defense Control Center, told reporters on March 28.

“Bodies of civilians with signs of brutal torture and carved neo-Nazi symbols and swastikas were found in the basements of buildings in Mariupol liberated from the nationalists,” Mizintsev said.

Mizintsev said that rescued civilians confirm these facts. Local residents reported that neo-Nazis, knowing that women with children were in the basements, deliberately threw grenades at them.

The Colonel General stated that terror and genocide of its own people had become the norm for Ukraine.

The DPR People’s Militia reported the suppression of an attempted escape from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol by a commander of the Ukrainian Azov nationalist battalion (organization banned in Russia).
