Russian Armed Forces destroy Ukrainian army's headquarters in Bakhmut

The Russian military destroyed the headquarters of the Ukrainian army in the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region with high-precision weapons, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told journalists during a briefing on March 24.

“On the evening of March 23 and the night of March 24, high-precision long-range naval and airborne weapons struck the military facilities of the Ukrainian army,” Konashenkov said.

One of the strikes destroyed the headquarters of the Ukrainian army’s formation in the town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, as well as a warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons. In addition, a temporary accommodation facility of the national battalion in the town of Lisichansk was hit, Konashenkov added.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 1,572 tanks and other combat vehicles, 202 SAMs, 257 unmanned aerial vehicles and 1,379 units of special vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine.
