The Ukrainian army was shooting at civilians in the town of Rubezhnoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic, a local resident who escaped the town to the district center of Starobelsk said on March 21, RIA Novosti reported.

“The extermination of residents is taking place. The Ukrainian army is destroying civilians. Firing … at houses, civilians,” he said.

The man indicated that he and other people had been sheltering in basements for 12 days. There was no electricity or water, only gas.

People had to stand in long lines to get water.

He called the actions of the Ukrainian army the massacre of the people.

On the night of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to conduct a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine in connection with the aggressive actions of the Ukrainian army in Donbass.

The Ukrainian armed forces continue shelling towns and villages on the territory of the DPR and LPR, destroying civilian houses and infrastructure.

In the district center Starobelsk in the LPR, the People’s Republic’s Emergency Ministry organized a heating center for refugees who managed to escape from the areas controlled by the Ukrainian army, as well as arriving from the territories liberated by the Russian troops and LPR forces.
