Kurginyan comments allegations about assassination attempts against Zelensky

15.03.2022, Moscow.

The Russian security services did not receive an order to assassinate President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky; otherwise, they would have accomplished the task, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement on The Great Game program on March 12.

“If our specialists ever intended to do this, they would have done it not 22 times, but once,” the political scientist stressed.

However, the West’s groundless accusations are not surprising. Kurginyan reminded the British provocation with allegedly poisoned Skripals. Then, a myth was promoted that Russian security officials allegedly attempted to poison the fugitive former GRU officer Sergey Skripal and his daughter with the Novichok combat chemical agent.

“It is nonsense that a city was exposed to a deadly gas, and all the people were walking in white trousers breathing what should have killed them in 10 seconds,” Kurginyan reminded.

According to Kurginyan, such things are nothing but a post-truth.

“This is a global world of post-truth, where any lies will do whatever blatant they are, and this is also a component of the world we live in today,” the political scientist said.

Previously, Advisor of Zelensky’ Office Mikhail Podolyak said in an interview to Ukrainskaya Pravda that over 10 assassination attempts had been made against the Ukrainian president.

No reliable information about Zelensky’s whereabouts is available. There are reasons to believe that he has long left Kiev. Potential shelters for the Ukrainian politician include Lvov and the territory of adjacent Poland.

Still earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister shortly before. According to Blinken, the Ukrainian side had “a government’s line of succession.”

According to a participant of the program, Member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Ilya Kiva, the Anglo-Saxons have already prepared a plan of Zelensky’s elimination, because, according to Kiva, the Ukrainian president is the key witness to their crimes.

“Indeed, this is their behavioral model ― to commit crimes through their proxies and then ‘erase’ them. I am absolutely sure that this model will be used,” Kiva stressed. He believes that Podolyak is an agent of the British intelligence.

On February 24, Russia started a special operation for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. The Russian leaders made this decision due to the threat of Ukrainian army’s offensive into the territory of the Donetsk and the Lugansk people’s republics as well as advanced nuclear projects of Kiev, which decided to reject its status of a neutral state.

Russian army’s major clashes take place with the militants of Kiev’s nationalist units, which are responsible for the genocide in Donbass.
