Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of March 8 (5:00 pm).
On March 7, Russian Air Force strike aircraft destroyed 158 military facilities in Ukraine. High-precision, long-range weapons damaged the Ukrainian Air Force’s Ozernoye airfield near Zhytomir. Fighter aviation of the Russian Air Force shot down two MiG-29 and one Su-27 of the Ukrainian Air Force in the air.
Also destroyed: two Ukrainian divisions of S-300 air defense missile system, three Buk M-1 self-propelled gun mounts, four control points, two radar stations, nine ammunition depots, and attacked 11 areas where weapons and military equipment were amassed.
In order to safely evacuate civilians from populated areas, the Russian Ministry of Defense introduced a “regime of silence” from 10 a.m. Moscow time on March 8 and opened humanitarian corridors from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, and Mariupol.
946 tons of humanitarian cargo have been delivered to Ukraine and 132 humanitarian actions have been carried out – Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Ukrainian authorities are not allowing people to evacuate from most cities:
Kiev has confirmed only 1 route out of 10 to get people out of Ukrainian cities – from Sumy through Poltava to the border with Poland.
Along the Sumy-Poltava route 723 people were evacuated, including 576 citizens of India, 115 citizens of China, 20 citizens of Jordan and 12 citizens of Tunisia.
Kiev authorities continue to categorically reject all major evacuation routes from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol to Russia.
Russian Ministry of Defense: Combatants of territorial defense battalions continue to hold hostages in Ukraine as a “human shield” over 4.5 million civilians, as well as about 2 thousand foreigners who have already expressed a desire to evacuate to safe places.
Kiev direction

The Ukrainian army are trying to counterattack on the Kiev section of the front and are sending sabotage groups across the reservoir in two directions:
towards Chernobyl to the village of Kupovate;
to the Irpen river near the villages of Kozarovichi and Demidova.
Two Ukrainian army’s helicopters were shot down near Nezhyn while attempting to approach Russian troops in the Chernigov region. Two surviving crew members were evacuated from the crash site.
In Gomel, near the Gomel-Nechetny railway station, a train with Russian airborne troop equipment was spotted.
Russian armored vehicles passed in the village of Bogdanovka, 23 km east of Kiev.
Kharkov direction
Enemy sabotage groups in the vicinity of Kharkov are being mopped up. Thanks to this work it was possible to carry a humanitarian convoy to Liptsy.
The Ukrainian army shelled Balakleya, under the control of Russian troops. There are reports of civilian casualties.
Footage of the evacuation of foreign students from the city of Sumy appeared on the Web. Ukrainian media reported that a convoy with evacuees from Sumy entered the Poltava region.
The Ukrainian side used more than 50 buses to drive people to the exit from Sumy. In the middle of the road, under the pretext of an “advancing Russian convoy,” the buses were driven back into the city. Ukrainian tanks and units began firing in the southwest of the city even before the convoy returned. The firing came from fields in the Sada area along the H07 highway and the Sumy airport.
Southern direction
A Ukrainian S-300 air defense system was destroyed in Kherson.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR
LPR People’s Militia troops took control of the villages of Borsonino, Kremennaya, Peschanoye, Varvarovka, Pshenychnoye, Epifanovka, Novodruzhesk, and Belogorovka. The advance was 9 kilometers. The capture of Belogorovka and Novovoruzhesk means that the LPR has forced the Seversky Donets. The agglomeration of Rubezhnoye-Severodonetsk-Lisichansk is semi-encircled.
LPR Army forces entered Popasna.
A total of about 60 villages and towns have been liberated since the start of the operation. Control has been established over almost all LPR territory. The defeat of nationalist and Ukrainian army’s groups in the area of Rubezhnoye, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Zolotoye, and Popasnaya is expected to be completed, as well as the destruction of scattered nationalist gangs.
Units of the DPR People’s Militia established control over the Osoviakhim quarter in Mariupol.
DPR units control a stretch of road from Volnovakha to the outskirts of Mariupol. The traffic of civilian transport along this road is still prohibited.
The Ukrainian army’s tanks hit in Gnutovo near Mariupol were equipped with empty dummies instead of dynamic protection.
The following measures to support the population have been introduced in the liberated territories since March 1:
Writing off all debts on loans and credits in banking organizations.
In order to accelerate socio-economic development of the region it was decided to write off utility debts in full.
Payments for gas and heating will be reduced to the domestic level in Russia.
In Kramatorsk, units of the Ukrainian special operations forces are located in a commercial facility. The gyms of schools 6, 15, 19, 20, and 31 have been converted into barracks.
In Dzerzhinsk, the command post of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade is located right in the building of the preventorium Raduga. The equipment and weapons are placed near residential buildings, and the movement of MLRS was spotted on the territory of the Lenin Central City Hospital, which conducts the shelling of Gorlovka.
In Ugledar, the fighters and military vehicles of the National Guard are deployed on the territory of school No. 2 and kindergarten No. 1.
The nationalists again prevented people from leaving Mariupol via the humanitarian corridors. Only one bus with civilians arrived at the intermediate point of the Emergency Ministry, who on their own and under a hail of gunfire of the National Guard still managed to break through from the city.
Situation in the republics
In the past 24 hours, from 03:00 a.m. on March 7 to 03:00 a.m. on March 8, 4 civilians were wounded, 3 of them from territories previously liberated by the DPR.
12 houses and 5 civil infrastructure objects (gas pipelines in Donetsk and Gorlovka) were damaged.

As a result of the shelling of the Tsentralno-Gorlovka district of Gorlovka, a number of residential areas suffered significant damage.
The villages Molochny, Gagarin mine, Lenin mine were shelled. Residential buildings were damaged, and the villages of Krasny Partizan and Verkhnetoretske were left without electricity.
A pumping station in the village of Panteleimonovka was de-energized. The Cheremushki residential area was left without water supply.

The LPR
