Progress of the liberation of Ukraine. Rossa Primavera News Agency’s report on March 5 (5:00 pm)

The Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of 5 p.m. on March 5.

The Russian side has created all conditions for the population of the liberated territories in Ukraine to return to a peaceful and safe life. The Russian Defense Ministry has already delivered 497 tons of humanitarian cargo to Ukraine.

Russian Ministry of Defense: nationalist battalions continue to hold hostage as a “human shield” about 5 thousand foreigners, including: in Kharkov up to 1.5 thousand students from India, up to 200 citizens of Jordan, 40 citizens of Egypt, 15 citizens of Vietnam. In Sumy – 576 citizens of India, 159 citizens of Tanzania, 121 citizens of China, 100 students from Ghana, 60 citizens of Egypt, 45 citizens of Jordan, 16 students from Pakistan, 15 citizens of Tunisia and 14 citizens of Zambia.

Kiev direction

A high-precision long-range weapon strike destroyed an ammunition depot in a military unit in Zhytomir, where Javelin and NLAW were stored.

An arms depot or oil depot in Chernigov near Sherstyanka was hit.

A group of troops operating in the area around Chernigov encircled the regional center, did not enter the city, and negotiated with the local regional administration, destroying DRGs trying to counter them.

Railroad tracks near Irpen were blown up, making it impossible to evacuate by rail. People waiting to be evacuated from the train station are transferred to buses that should bring people to Kiev.

In Belaya Tserkov, south of Kiev, explosions are heard. There are many military facilities in the city: the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army and the 1129th Missile Regiment are based there.

Kharkov direction

An artillery battery of the Ukrainian army has been operating from the area of the Kharkov transport equipment and Transsvyaz plants for several days.

At night, there was a strike against the military unit #3005 in Kharkov, where the 5th separate brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine was based.

The residents of Kharkov reported explosions on the territory of the military unit on Klochkovskaya Street. Apparently, it is the territory of the National University of the Air Force.

In Kharkov, units of the Ukrainian army and territorial defense continue to use Severnaya Saltovka as a fortified area. At about 7 a.m., two tracked armored vehicles drove into the block on Natalia Uzhvy Street. In the yard of these houses, kindergarten number 464 is located. There are three military trucks and two commandeered buses of the company “Feldman-Ecopark” in the street of Metrostroiteley, 3.

In Kharkov, Nazis blew up a bridge in Stariy Saltov to prevent people from leaving the city in the direction of Russia.

In Sumy, there are reports of the presence of 1-2 people from “non-locals” at the territorial defense checkpoints. They conceal their identities, talk only to the heads of the detachments and give instructions. They may be employees of foreign PMCs or officers of the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.

About 20 Pakistani students, who tried to go to the checkpoint in Sumy on their own, were beaten up by nationalists.

The Ukrainian side rejects Russian proposals to open humanitarian corridors in Kharkov and Sumy.

Zaporozhzhye direction

After taking control of the nuclear power plant in Energodar and building up the grouping near Berdyansk, the troops moved to Zaporozhzhye.

Hundreds of people gathered in Zaporozhzhye – according to local reports, waiting for weapons to be handed out.

South direction

The administrative building of the space observation antenna complex on the western outskirts of the town of Velikodolinskoye, south of Odessa, was hit.

The Russian Armed Forces deployed an additional strongpoint in Galitsynovo, south of Nikolaev.

Fighting continues for Voznesensk at the bridge to the Russian-controlled Bolgarka area. In the morning, army aviation helicopters landed Russian troops in Yastrebinovo settlement south of Voznesensk.

The Ukrainian fighters rammed a minibus carrying orphans from the Nikolayevsk orphanage “Krasnoye Solnyshko” as they were being evacuated from the city. It is reported that four children with serious injuries were taken to the intensive care unit.

Kherson authorities refused to accept humanitarian aid from Russia.

In Kherson, supporters of the Kiev regime held a rally outside the local administration building. There are National Guard of Russia officers on the square.

A film crew of the US channel CNN arrived in Nikolaev.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

A group of LPR troops, with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces, continued their offensive and reached the Boguslavka – Telmakhovka – Kalinovka line.

The DPR armed forces advanced by 27 km and took control of Novogrigorovka, Novonikolaevka, Vishnevatoye, Volnoye, Listvyanka, and Antonovka.

The officer of the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) Andrey Kosyak, kidnapped by Ukrainian army’s fighters in October 2021, was released from Starobel pre-trial detention facility.

The advanced units of the DPR People’s Militia have reached the administrative border of Donetsk Region.

Fighters of the Azov (organization banned in Russia) and Aidar (organization banned in Russia) national battalions fired at units of the People’s Militia that entered Mariupol from schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.

Fighters of Azov (organization banned in Russia) detonated an explosive device in Mariupol on Meotida Boulevard, about 200 people, including children, are under the rubble in the basement – head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

The DPR subdivisions received a command to observe the silence regime. This is due to the provision of a corridor for the departure of civilians from Volnovakha and Mariupol, which began to work from 10 a.m.

The Kiev authorities refused to provide a humanitarian corridor for Mariupol residents.

The Mariupol administration first confirmed the report of the Russian Defense Ministry on the creation of a humanitarian corridor and reported that it would run along the route Mariupol – Nikolskoye – Rozovka – Pologi – Orekhov – Zaporozhzhye. However, the city’s mayor later announced that the evacuation would be postponed allegedly due to Russian shelling.

At 10:08, artillery shells were fired at the Russian Armed Forces’ positions from Mariupol, and the fire that lasted for a long time came from Volnovakha at 10:11 a.m.

The formation of humanitarian convoys in Mariupol and Volnovakha did not take place on Saturday. The operational pause in the area of Mariupol and Volnovakha was used only to improve the situation of Ukrainian national battalions and build up forces – the Russian Ministry of Defense.

17 people, including children, were able to leave Mariupol via a humanitarian corridor – Basurin.

Situation in the republics

LPR People’s Militia delivered 12 tons of humanitarian aid from Voronezh Region to residents of Trekhizbenka.

For mobilized citizens, the DPR Central Bank extended the use of bank cards with an expiration date in February 2022 for 31 calendar days, until March 31, 2022 inclusive.

Donetsk

The shelling by the Ukrainian army were repoted on the directions:

08:00 a.m. – Vodyanoye village – Donetsk city: 10 122 mm shells were fired.

08:10 a.m. – Slavnoye village – Donetsk city: 5 122 mm shells were fired.

09:10 – Peski – Donetsk: 2 120 mm mortar shells were fired.

13:00 – Marinka – Donetsk (Trudovskaya village); 3 82 mm mortars were fired.

Gorlovka

It is reported that the Ukrainian army opened fire on the directions:

10:45 a.m. – Novgorodskoye village – Gorlovka: 5 122mm shells were fired.

1:50 p.m. – Novgorodskoye village – Gorlovka (Gagarin mine settlement): 5 122mm shells were fired.

Four civilians were wounded as a result of the shelling of the northern part of Gorlovka by Ukrainian militants.

According to the DPR representative office in the JCCCC, Ukrainian armed formations shelled Golmpvsky with 82 mm mortars. The fire came from the northern part of the village of Zaytsevo, which they occupied. Two mines were fired. Other information is being verified.

The LPR

As a result of the shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces in the direction of Pervomaysk using 120 mm mortars, a 94-years-old civilian was wounded, and 10 residential houses and a medium pressure gas pipeline were damaged. Fire was returned in order to protect the civilians. Additional information on civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure, as well as enemy casualties, is being verified.

Political situation

The Ukrainian delegation keeps coming up with excuses to postpone the start of another meeting with Russia – Lavrov.

The Russian Embassy in Germany sent a note to the German Foreign Ministry in connection with the problem of discrimination of compatriots.

Colonel Aleksey Berngard, a Marine Corps brigade commander, was awarded the title of Hero of Russia for his feat during a special operation in Ukraine. During a special operation in Ukraine, Berngard’s units led a successful offensive on the Mariupol direction from the first minutes, successfully broke through the enemy’s defenses and turned it to panic flight.

Russia promptly responded to a call from Kiev asking for a humanitarian corridor in Mariupol, but it is the neo-Nazis who are not letting anyone out.

Sanctions against Russia are akin to a declaration of war, but it has not come to that yet.

There is no need for Russia to impose martial law.

Russia will consider any attempts by other countries to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine as participation in military action.

Only professional military – officers and contract servicemen – take part in the military special operation, there are no conscripts.

Russia’s nuclear forces have been placed in a special regime after a statement by Britain’s foreign minister.

If the Ukrainian leadership continues to do what they are doing, it will call into question the future of their statehood, and it will be entirely their responsibility.

There are many different options for the demilitarization of Ukraine, they are on the table with Kiev, we hope for a positive response.

Almost all of Ukraine’s military infrastructure has been destroyed, the liquidation of the air defense system is almost complete.

The operation is proceeding as planned by the General Staff.

We are grateful to the volunteers who come to our military enlistment offices, but their help is not needed yet and, I am sure, will not be needed.

Ukraine
