The purpose of Russia’s operation in Ukraine is not to occupy Ukrainian territories, but to stop the genocide taking place under the Kiev regime, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said on February 28 at a special session of the UN General Assembly.
“The occupation of Ukraine is not part of our plans. The purpose of our special operation is to protect people who have been suffering abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime over eight years,” the Russian permanent representative said.
According to Nebenzya, demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine is necessary in order to protect people.
