Russian Ministry of Defense: The Russian Army has destroyed 1,067 infrastructure facilities of the Ukrainian army

A group of LPR troops with fire support from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation advanced another 4 kilometers deep into their territory occupied by the Kiev regime and continues their offensive, Major General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, said at a briefing in Moscow on February 27.

He said that Donetsk People’s Republic armed forces units advanced six kilometers towards Mariupol during the day.

The settlements of Nizhnee, Granitnoe and Gnutovo have been taken under control.

According to him, since the beginning of the special operation, Russian army units destroyed 1,067 objects of military infrastructure of the Kiev regime, including 27 control points and communication centers, 38 air defense missile systems S-300, BUKM1 and Osa. 254 units of heavy armored vehicles and 56 radar stations were taken out of action. On the ground, 31 combat aircraft of the air force of Ukraine have been destroyed. In addition, 46 multiple rocket launchers, 107 field guns and mortars, and 164 units of special military vehicles were burned.

During the February 27, seven S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems near the city of Kramatorsk and three Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 unmanned strike aircraft near the city of Chernigov were destroyed during the day.

Konashenkov noted that several hundred Ukrainian army servicemen had laid down their weapons during the operation, all of them had received necessary medical treatment and would be released home. At the same time, the Russian major-general noted facts of the ugly attitude of Ukrainian nationalists to the few Russian army servicemen who had been captured in Ukraine.

Konashenkov warned that Russia has the ability to identify specific individuals in Ukraine involved in both the abuse of captives and crimes against people in Ukraine and the Donbass republics in general.

He stated that none of the perpetrators would escape responsibility.
