The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will closely monitor the situation in the territories under Kiev’s control in connection with the upcoming Ukraine-NATO Unified Endeavor 2021 exercise, spokesman for the DPR People’s Militia said during a meeting with journalists on September 18.
“We are closely monitoring the entire situation in Ukraine, as any changes there could affect the situation in Donbass,” he said.
In addition, Basurin commented on documents that have appeared on the Internet, which describe the goals and objectives of the upcoming exercises. Basurin said that the DPR has studied in detail all the information presented in them and concluded that it corresponds to reality.
“Despite the information officially published by Ukraine that only defensive scenarios will be practiced at the exercises … the facts reveal the opposite. Ukraine, or rather its Western handlers, are planning to practice offensive options for the Ukrainian army and its NATO allies against Russia and Belarus,” Basurin said.
In addition, according to Basurin, the DPR has analyzed the actions practiced in the framework of the upcoming exercises. Experts from the DPR concluded that Ukraine is being pushed to start full-scale combat operations against Russia, and they promised NATO assistance in the upcoming conflict.
The speaker stressed that aggression from Kiev would affect the DPR and LPR. Units of both republics are in constant readiness for any action by the enemy and “our defenders are ready to repulse the enemy at any moment”.
