Kurginyan names main danger for Russian authorities

03.09.2021, Aleksandrovskoye.

Social processes in Russia grow more irrational, the more “heated up” the country becomes. This fact, and the authorities’ refusal to take it into account, is the main danger for the authorities, stated the philosopher, political analyst, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement, Sergey Kurginyan, in a new installment of the program The Meaning of the Game on August 31.

Social processes in Russia are always quite irrational: the more it heats up the more irrational these processes are, simply because people are fed up and dissatisfied. And not taking this fact into account is the main danger for the authorities,” he explained.

The expert considers that there is no direct correlation between the electoral process and the process of accumulating discontent in the popular masses.

The processes will go in parallel: on the one hand, there will be an electoral process – now matter crooked or askew it is, I will not comment – and on the other hand, there will be an accumulation of this diffuse dissatisfaction [with vaccination and pension reform]. And those who count on the correlation between these two processes have completely forgotten everything about our historical experience, which is immeasurably more important in this case than all the rational manuals on methodology,” the political scientist noted.

Kurginyan emphasized that the fundamental public state of mind concerning vaccinations, pension reform, etc. will have only an indirect relation to the electoral results.
