Kurginyan: Russia can face war because of vaccination

31.08.2021, Aleksandrovskoye.

The confrontation between the Russian authorities and the anti-vaccination movement, which is not controlled by any of the forces, poses a threat of a “diffuse war,” said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 31 in a new issue of The Meaning of the Game broadcast.

“What if there is no one to build [dialogue] with? What if the process [of the anti-vaccination protests] exists, but there is no central actor? What then? This is what is called diffuse war,” he explained.

According to the political scientist, if the anti-vaccination movement were under control of patriotic forces, the authorities could have a dialogue with them regarding the future of the country.

He explained that in the argument around the need for such a dialogue, the decisive factor was the weakness of certain anti-vaccination movements, as they were unable to collect the necessary number of votes to participate in the Duma elections.

“The entire history of Russia and the current situation suggest that what gives reason fear is the opponent’s weakness combined with certain state of the processes that the opponent claims to represent,” the leader of Essence of Time stressed.

On August 30, the leaders of the “Russian All-People’s Union” party, which was not allowed to participate in the Duma elections, and the Sorok Sorokov movement gave a brief press conference. According to Sorok Sorokov leader Andrey Kormukhin, the movement initiated the registration of a new party.
