Kurginyan: Poland will not help, it will “eat Ukraine whole”

Poland is anti-Russian, but this does not mean it is pro-Ukrainian, political scientist, analyst, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on August 5 on the Tema program of the Union channel.

He stressed that Poland will be anti-Russian on any issue. “Poland is against the Russians in any event,” Kurginyan noted.

“If they could fly to Venus, to Saturn, or behave disruptively, or whatever else, they would do it if it is against the Russians,” the political scientist described Warsaw’s position.

Any allying with Ukraine against the Russians does not mean that Poland is for the Ukrainians, Kurginyan stressed. According to the analyst, Poland believes it is the hegemon of Eastern Europe, and it does not plan to help Ukraine.

The political scientist noted that Poland will deal with Ukraine in a much more tough manner than any “Russian expansion.” “It will just eat it whole. And it is already in anticipation.”

Kurginyan stressed that this position seriously complicates the relations between Kiev and Warsaw.

Recently, Ukraine and Poland have been strengthening their relations to counter “Russian aggression.” On July 7, the Ukrainian, Polish and Lithuanian foreign ministers signed a road map of cooperation within the Lublin triangle (comprising these three countries).

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, this format is an alternative the the “Russian world.”
