Russia cannot support destructive forces in the USA, because their branches also operate on Russian territory, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 27 on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on the Russia One channel.
“Of course, it is nice to always support destructive forces in various states. However, the world has become too intermixed to do so,” Kurginyan believes.
According to Kurginyan, the Black Lives Matter movement for black rights and against police brutality that has become notorious in the US has taken a foothold in Russia.
“Of course, Islamism appears to be an enemy of the USA. Let’s support it. However, in ten minutes you see that it wants to arrange a massacre here!” the leader of Essence of Time added.
The world, Kurginyan believes, has become too complex for the approach of “support your enemy’s enemy” to be blindly followed.
“Sometimes it can be followed, but sometimes it cannot. Or it can to certain extent, and then it becomes something else,” the political scientist explained.
In June 2020, “Russian Lives Matter” has become the number one hashtag on Russian Twitter after a resident of Yekaterinburg suspected of stealing wallpaper was killed. Servicemen of the Federal National Guard Troops Service shot him dead when he resisted arrest.
On April 21, supporters of blogger Aleksei Navalny held a rally to support same-sex marriage in Moscow. Russian supporters of Black Lives Matter and Belorussian nationalists joined the rally.
