Kurginyan: The Polish president’s statement is a national insult to Russia

The words of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda about Russia’s “abnormality” suggest that the Western Russophobia is growing, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 27 on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One channel.

Regarding the Polish leader’s words about Russia’s “abnormality” the political scientist noted, “If even this is allowed… and this is not a national insult, then what is a national insult?”

Kurginyan admitted that “rhetorical norms have been totally destroyed, and absolutely anything is allowed.” However, even if statements are very far from reality, this is not permanent. The expert explained what stands behind the offensive statements about Russia. “Inside this Western flank, fury is growing along with an infinite readiness to insult, certain military groups and interests. Sooner or later, these interests will become reality.”

He explained that, although “this virtual world exists a little separately from the real one,” words still matter. “There [in the USA] Brzezinski junior [Ian Brzezinski, the son of the former US President National Security Advisor ― Rossa Primavera News Agency] is appointed in order for the family not be left out of politics. The entire system of Russophobia is expanding and moving forward,” the analyst added.

The leader of Essence of Time noted that in the buildup to a summit between US President Joe Biden and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Assistant to the US Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs John Kirby refused to call Russia an “enemy.”

“But how do you call them [Russians]? What does this phrase mean? Do we not read doctrines, or do we not see the US documents, like if we lived somewhere on Saturn and could not understand English or access these documents?! How can one just say anything all of a sudden? Of course, we are enemies,” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.

On May 26, the Polish leader Andrzej Duda during his official visit to Georgia said, “Russia is not a normal country; it is not a country that behaves normally; it is an aggressor state.”
