We in Russia should clearly understand that for the collective West, the only good Russia is a dead Russia, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time social and political movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 17 on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One channel.
According to the political scientist, Russia is in a hybrid state between transitioning to an ultimate sovereign policy, which is discussed among the conservative patriotic circles, and an attempt to converge with the USA, of which the pro-Western part of the elite continues to dream.
Sergey Kurginyan noted that the transition to the sovereign policy has not been completed, “Can we say that we have transitioned to a new stratagem? We see that all this hesitation still takes place. We can see how it restricts any strong patriotic actions, neutralizing them partly. And it always pushes us to convergence with the USA and certain forces in it where this is physically impossible.”
He noted that any tiny event becomes a reason for another attempt to seek rapprochement with the West, with proposals like “Could this be a chance? Let us talk again.” The political scientist explained that the government agrees to talk, and it stops patriotic programs, but the outcome of the talks is disappointment, “Oh my God, they rejected us again.”
“When will we finally understand that for the West as a whole, the only good Russian and the only good Russia are a dead Russian and a dead Russia? That there is no sense to talk about any compromise? Even if the most liberal leader comes, and if he licks the US boots, they will still never leave Russia alone as an undivided state. Nooneneedsitinthisform,” Kurginyan said.
