The US army was systematically and deliberately destroying objects of civil infrastructure, head of the Foundation for Democracy Problems Research, member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Maksim Grigoryev said to journalists on May 19.
“Forces of the US-led international coalition, and mainly the US Armed Forces were systematically striking against Syrian civilian objects,” Grigoryev said.
According to him, these were hospitals, schools, mosques, residential buildings and infrastructure. “[The US military] did this deliberately,” Grigoryev noted.
In some cases, the US-led coalition struck against Syrian villages where there had never been militants or when they had already left the villages, the member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation stressed.
Grigoryev made his statement in Moscow at the presentation of Crimes of the US-led international coalition in Syria book, which he had co-authored with the member of the Russian State Duma Dmitry Sablin.
The book consists of 200 documented testimonies of Syrian citizens who suffered from the actions of the international coalition. The study was published on the Internet in Russian and English.
