Kurginyan points to the main conclusion from the tragedy in Kazan

The tragedy in Kazan, where a 19-year-old youth shot schoolchildren and teachers, suggests that “post-humans” are here, and Russia has joined this global process, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 11 in his video address on the movement’s YouTube channel.

The emergence of maniacs like the Kazan shooter is a consequence of capitalism transitioning to a new phase, stressed the expert.

Until recently, statement ‘we’re all human’ had an unconditional interpretation. Now, when I speak about sincerely sympathizing with everything that happened in Kazan, with all the maniac’s victims, with everyone who is shocked by what happened, I’m actually stating something that is not quite obvious, that we are all human, because the theorists of a new phase in capitalism also declare that there are ‘post-humans”, explained Kurginyan.

Those who commit crimes similar to the attack in Kazan cannot be considered human, added the analyst. At the same time, Kurginyan mentioned that the shooter himself does not want to be called a man, posing as either a god or a devil.

Theorists of these new processes, I repeat, declare that new ‘post-humans’ have arrived. And something tells me that they are not only lying – something else is knocking on the door. It is more important then ever for us all to be human and to remember that ‘it is coming as a blessing, if we can feel and empathize’. And this is our mission as people, if we want to be human and remain human,” said Kurginyan.
