Cosmonaut: Expansion began in search of a better life, and space can give it

03.05.2021, Moscow.

The Soviet Union and its achievements were the only attempt to eliminate the millennia-long system of socio-economic inequality, test cosmonaut Mark Serov said in an interview with Rossa Primavera News Agency.

Analyzing the prospects of cosmonautics, Serov came to the conclusion that there is no better alternative than the expansion of humanity into space.

“For a thousand years, Earth’s civilization has been built on a system of socio-economic inequality. There was an attempt, the only time in history since the Stone Age, to change this millennial system. It was called the Soviet Union, the Soviet project,” Serov stressed.

The cosmonaut pointed out that “unfortunately, this attempt was abandoned for various reasons.” According to the test cosmonaut, this was probably because “the old millennial system of economic inequality is in our blood.”

“It is impossible to create an alternative project within the confines of the planet, so I try to figure out what to do, and I come to the conclusion that throughout human history, expansion began in search of a new, better life. So it could be that humanity’s expansion into space would result in a better life,” the test cosmonaut concluded.
