Secretary of the Russia Security Council accuses Ukraine of trying to organize terrorist attacks in Crimea

14.04.2021, Moscow.

The Ukrainian security agencies, as well as by underground cells of various terrorist groups, regularly made attempts to organize sabotage and terrorist acts in Crimea, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev said at a meeting on national security in Crimea on April 14.

“Ukrainian security agency and extremist organizations are constantly arranging provocations on the state border, attempting to carry out sabotage and terrorist actions on the territory of Crimea, on critical infrastructure in the first place,” he said.

The Secretary of the Security Council noted that in seven years Russia had made a significant improvement in the lives of people on the peninsula. In particular, it has modernized the transport network, built new roads and bridges, created new jobs and restored cultural heritage sites.

But in contrast to this, Western countries have taken actions to sever economic ties and worsen living conditions through food, energy and water blockade. The West also regularly imposes various sanctions that worsen the living conditions of the residents of the peninsula.

Through various information channels, attempts are made to destabilize the social, political, and economic situation in Crimea. The Internet is particularly used in this regard to call for protests and propagandize nationalistic ideas.
