The United States is creating a geopolitical counterbalance to Russia and China out of Japan and India, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time social and political movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 28 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One TV channel.
Kurginyan noted that Japan has drastically changed the style of its foreign policy. According to the political scientist, Japan’s position used to be that it would be friendly to Russia after a peace treaty is signed, but now Japan says they need Navalny to help change the government in Russia and solve the issue of the Kuril Islands.
“Japanese politicians could never venture to address the domestic politics of another state. They are not the Americans, who have always been brazen regarding this issue, or the Europeans. This is almost the first time in history that I have heard the Land of the Rising Sun talk about the kind of politics it needs in Russia,” Kurginyan said.
He expressed confidence that Japan will obtain nuclear weapons in the near future. In his opinion, the only question is how many years it would take. The political scientist added that in addition to this, a military-political bloc is forming around Japan, which may enter into deep confrontation with China.
“So, it seems to me that the Americans are preparing a kind of counter-balance in this region,” the political scientist suggested.
Kurginyan stressed that the described Japanese bloc will be the geopolitical constant of the next decade. Another constant, according to the political scientist, will be a completely new level of friendly relations between Japan and Turkey.
He explained that there has always been some kind of closed agreements concerning investments in construction and other areas, but now the scale of interaction between the two countries has increased dramatically, which is observed for the first time. In addition, Turkey in its dialogue with Japan references its historical memory and imperial ambitions, particularly the version that the ancestors of both nations originated in the Gobi Desert.
“This Japanese power center emerges as a counterbalance on the Pacific side. Next, the Americans will no longer let India out of their claws, because India is needed as a strategic counterbalance. If China becomes the No. 1 counterpower, then the United States has to build close relations with the No. 3 power – it has to be India. India is being swiftly integrated into the US sphere of influence. This also promises many things,” Kurginyan concluded.
