Russia reported 17 violations of the ceasefire in Syria over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service informed on January 19.
The ceasefire was violated in Aleppo (4 violations), Idlib (9 violations), Latakia (3 violations), and Hama (1 violation) provinces.
According to the press service, Turkey reported seven ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours. However, the Russian side did not confirm any of these violations.
In the last 24 hours, the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic carried out only one humanitarian action in Humayr in Hasaka province where 440 food kits were distributed.
The ceasefire on the territory of Idlib de-escalation zone has been in force since March 6, 2020. The agreement is guaranteed by Russia and Turkey, which set up joint Russian-Turkish commission for ceasefire monitoring in Syria.
