The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) stopped militants’ attempt to build fortifications in the area of Jebel al-Zawiyah in the Idlib province, Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in Syria informed on December 25.
“The SAA foiled the terrorists’ attempt to build fortifications near Kafr Uweid town in the Jabal al-Zawiya area,” the source said.
The army attacked the militants by artillery, killing a large number of terrorists. The rest fled, leaving the military equipment to the Syrian army, the source noted.
Ceasefire was established in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Since March 6 2020, the guarantors of the agreement are Russia and Turkey.
