Anti-Russian hysteria is used to create an image of Evil Russia in the opinion of Western average citizens. Political analyst Dmitry Kulikov said this on December 14 on the air of the Vesti FM radio broadcast.
“Hysteria is intended to emphasize the supposedly evil nature of our motherland, our country in the opinion of the Western average citizen, of the Western politician. So that no one would have any doubts that if something is done with respect to Russia, it is deserved,” the political analyst stressed.
The anti-Russian campaign of the Western continues, the expert added, and everything is again blamed on Russia and the Russians are allegedly criminal in nature.
“Lest anyone doubt that, here’s a case with Navalny, here’s a case with the Skripals, here’s a case with the hackers. What more do you want? They’re Russians, they’re the only ones who can be evil. That is why any actions against Russia are justified,” concluded Kulikov.
On December 14, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that relations between Moscow and Washington would not deteriorate after the possible closure of American consulates in Russia.
