Kravchuk speaks about the date of approval for plan B on Donbass

08.12.2020, Kiev.

Plan B on settlement in Donbass may be approved after the New Year, former Ukrainian president Leonid Kravchuk said on December 7, RIA Novosti informed.

Kravchuk explained that the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) develops and discusses the plan, he himself is not involved in the discussion. At the same time, he did not answer the question whether he proposed to the NSDC the idea to disconnect Russia from SWIFT, if the situation is not changed before the New Year.

On December 6, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan stated on the air of the Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov program that Russia is well aware of Ukraine’s plans to solve the situation in Donbas by use of force in the near future. It is known that in recent years, the Ukrainian Army has been mobilized and armed, and forces were amassed in special zones to launch a military operation against Donbass. It is also known that the Ukrainian army is planning to strike against peaceful towns and villages, Kurginyan explained.

The war in Donbass has not yet started just because no one in the Ukrainian government is yet willing to order an offensive, but it could happen both before the end of this year and on New Year’s Eve, he said.

Under this scenario, Kravchuk’s words about his intention to address the USA next year with a request to disconnect Russia from SWIFT do not seem meaningless. It is logical that the attack of Ukrainian armed forces on Donbass should coincide with any attempt of destabilization inside Russia.
