Expert: Lukashenko has no time to talk to young people

20.08.2020, Moscow.

Rebellious youth in Belarus will not come to rallies in support of Alexander Lukashenko in any way, said blogger Andrey Malakhov. He wrote about this on August 19 on his Telegram-channel.

“Trying to find support of the youth which alien [to Lukashenko] now means to make a mess of the task of gathering rallies for Lukashenko. It will not participate in them anyway,” the blogger explained. According to Malakhov, at the moment the Belarusian president needs to mobilize his supporters for rallies in his support as soon as possible. Therefore, there is a targeted work with a deliberately loyal audience in a language it understands.

Andrey Malakhov notes that Lukashenko and his political opponents have a common vision of the future – “the holy independence of Belarus from Russia and its joining the West.” The difference between the two positions is only in the speed of movement along this path.

Earlier, editor-in-chief of Komsomolskaya Pravda – Belarus, Andrei Levkovski, complained that the pro-government actions in the country are not aimed at young people.
