Thousands of militants leave Turkish-backed group in northern Syria

2,000 militants left Firqat al-Sultan Murad, a Turkish-backed group acting in northern Syria, on July 27, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in tthe Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) informed.

Terrorists left the group in protest against the opression of Turkmen militants in Firqat al-Sultan Murad. They organized a new militant gang, which they called Firqat Khalid ibn Walid.

The source notes that the new group remained in the so-called Syrian National Army under the control of Turkey. The new gang will act in the Jarablus and Afrin area in northern Aleppo province.

Khalid ibn Walid, also called ” the Sword of God “, is considered to be a legendary invincible Arab military leader. He was an associate of the Prophet Muhammad.

Khalid ibn Walid was buried in the Syrian city of Homs. A large mosque dedicated to him is also situated there.
