19.05.2020, Kiev.

The member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament – translator’s note) Andrey Derkach made public an audio recording of conversation, in which allegedly former US Vice President Joe Biden offered then President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko one billion dollars for the dismissal of Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin, on May 19, the 112 Ukraine TV channel reported.

Derkach said, “Today we will make public recordings of phone conversations with voices similar to those of Petro Poroshenko and Joseph Biden, which prove international corruption and state treason at the highest state level”.

According to Derkach, in the audio recording Poroshenko offers his friend Yuriy Lutsenko as a general prosecutor instead of Shokin. The MP noted that he passed all the many hours’ recordings to the Prosecutor General’s Office with the application to initiate a criminal case.

Shokin investigated the activity of the Burisma Holding in Ukraine, whose board of directors included Biden’s son Hunter.
