Putin discusses Syrian territorial integrity with Erdoğan

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria in a phone conversation on April 21, the Kremlin press service reports.

The Russian and the Turkish leaders exchanged their opinions on the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR). The presidents confirmed that the principles of SAR sovereignty and territorial integrity must be observed.

Also, Putin and Erdoğan discussed the implementation of the agreements reached in Moscow on March 5 regarding the resolution in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The leaders came to an agreement to further maintain “regular contacts” on various official levels.
